Giants Group of Rambaug organised a Cancer Awareness Program-cum-Mammography Screening Test for Ladies at Powai Police Stations on 20-Nov-2011. The entire mammography equipment was fitted in a Volvo Bus and the screening test was carried out in this mobile lab. The cost of the test was very nominal (Rs.300/-) and it was free to under privileged ladies.

In the awareness camp, a detailed presentation regarding current trends, causes of cancer diseases and importance of screening test were explained by Mrs. Geeta Advani, Trustee of Helping Hand 4 Cancer care.

25 ladies were availed the mammography screening test and the program went up to 4 pm starting from 10 am in the morning. This is the 3rd Medical camp during the year 2011 besides Free General Medical check-up camp, Free Eye check-up cum free distribution of spectacles in the camp.

Recently the group has organised 2-day Picnic to Mahabaleswer in which 55 families consisting of ladies and old aged persons. Distribution free of food items to orphanage children at Vatsyala Trust, Kanjurmarg (east), distribution of free saplings during monsoon etc were other activities carried out by the group during this year.
