Fed 1b Convention was held at Vihangs inn on 26th Nov.

Giants Group of Rambaug organised a Cancer Awareness Program-cum-Mammography Screening Test for Ladies at Powai Police Stations on 20-Nov-2011. The entire mammography equipment was fitted in a Volvo Bus and the screening test was carried out in this mobile lab. The cost of the test was very nominal (Rs.300/-) and it was free to under privileged ladies.

In the awareness camp, a detailed presentation regarding current trends, causes of cancer diseases and importance of screening test were explained by Mrs. Geeta Advani, Trustee of Helping Hand 4 Cancer care.

PROGRAMME

17th September: Inauguration of Giants Week followed by teachers day:
Felicitation of teacher –Smt. Rajani Punaji, Retired Teacher
Venue : Community centre, Porvorim - at 6.30 pm.

19th September: Donation of First Aid Boxes to two schools:
1. Govt. Primary School, Alto Betim at 12.30 pm.
2. Govt. High School, Alto Betim at 1.30 pm.

Giants group of Nairobi Twiga arranged for food and sanitary pad distribution to two schools in a remote part of Kenya. The schools are run by two Sisters from India and had 200 & 85 girls respectively. Attached also is a letter from the sister appreciating the assistance.

Sanitary pad distribution was held on May 29th 2100 at Karura Primary School.
Approximately 120 girls benefited from the project and were supplied with 7 months of stock to ensure they do not miss school. Educational books were also distributed from the library.
